Anemia in pregnant women is a serious health problem in developing countries because it can cause various complications, such as fatigue, infection, premature labor, low birth weight, and even perinatal death. Prevention efforts through education regarding the consumption of iron supplements (TTD) are an important strategy in improving maternal and fetal health. This community service activity uses a health education method with a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design. The activity was carried out on June 19, 2025 in Penagan Village with a sample of 12 pregnant women. Education was carried out through material presentation and interactive discussions regarding the benefits of TTD, the correct way to consume it, the minimum amount of consumption during pregnancy, recording in the KIA book, the impact of not consuming TTD, sources of iron-rich foods, and the importance of prenatal check-ups. Knowledge evaluation was carried out using pre-test and post-test questionnaires. Data were analyzed descriptively by comparing the average values before and after education. The results of the activity showed an increase in the average (mean) knowledge of pregnant women from 62.47 before education to 86.08 after education. These results indicate that health education significantly improved pregnant women's understanding of the importance of taking iron supplements (p-value <0.05). Health education regarding iron supplements is effective in increasing pregnant women's knowledge. This activity can be a promotional and preventive measure to prevent anemia during pregnancy.
Retno Imami, Sembiring Gaipyana

https://ejournal.poltekkespangkalpinang.ac.id/index.php/DimasBinatera/article/view/57

Cervical cancer remains one of the health problems affecting women with high morbidity and mortality rates in Indonesia. Adolescents' knowledge about cervical cancer and its prevention is considered low, thus requiring structured educational interventions. This community service program aims to increase high school students' knowledge about cervical cancer, risk factors, symptoms, and prevention efforts through school-based education. The activity was carried out on 96 female students in grades X and XI at SMAN 1 Pangkalan Baru. The activity methods included coordination, pre-testing, health counseling using audiovisual media, question and answer discussions, visual material demonstrations, and post-testing. Data analysis was performed descriptively and using a paired sample t-test. The results showed a significant increase in knowledge after education; the good knowledge category increased from 5.21% to 64.58%, while the poor category decreased from 41.67% to 6.25%. A total of 9 out of 12 questions showed a significant increase (p < 0.05). Health education proved to be effective in improving adolescent literacy about cervical cancer. A continuous education program with more interactive methods is recommended as a strategy for preventing cervical cancer in adolescent girls.
Gaipyana Sembiring, Akhiat, Ayi Diah Damayani, Lestarida Nainggolan, Astri Yulia Sari Lubis, Arica

https://ejournal.poltekkespangkalpinang.ac.id/index.php/DimasBinatera/article/view/64

One of the health problems commonly faced by adolescents in Indonesia is micronutrient deficiency, particularly iron deficiency anemia, as well as other forms of malnutrition such as undernutrition and overnutrition. The impact of anemia on adolescent health is broad and can affect their quality of life as well as physical and mental development. Anemia may cause fatigue, decreased immunity, and impaired concentration, which in turn can negatively affect academic performance. Therefore, it is important to provide education and prevention efforts regarding anemia, particularly through increasing iron intake, which can be obtained from iron supplementation tablets. Iron supplementation tablets are supplements designed to increase iron levels in the body. The aim of this community service activity was to improve female students’ knowledge of iron supplementation tablets, enhance their understanding of anemia, and provide education on the role of iron supplementation tablets in preventing anemia through educational video media. The method used in this community service activity was educational counseling delivered both directly and through educational video media. To measure the improvement in students’ knowledge, pre-test and post-test assessments were administered. The results showed a p-value of 0.001, indicating a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores.
Mirnawati Sailan, Sinulingga Syamsul Rizal
